Will AI Replace Your Job? 2030 Workforce Projection
Vocational Educators Needed.
The first self-checkout kiosk was invented by David R. Humble in 1986, and introduced at a Kroger grocery store in Georgia. Two years later, an article in the Miami Herald reported that “self-checkout could reduce cashier costs by as much as 66%.”
Today, the same dilemma is faced but on a far larger scale. A considerable percentage of workers worldwide are wondering if their job is at risk of being taken, whether by software or by robot. Forbes indicates that the jobs safest from AI and automation are ones that require human qualities that a robot cannot replicate, such as social skills, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal relationships. Positions that require creativity and analytical skills are ultimately ones that will lower the risk of AI replacing jobs in that field.

Data Analysts and AI and Machine Learning Specialists positions are projected to rise over 40%. Jobs in the Education sector will be going up 10% in the next five years, predominantly in Vocational, Special, and Tertiary Education. Education Technology adoption will be up by 80% in the next four years, with educational software and applications projected to be very popular as digital and e-learning platforms continue to grow.
According to the World Economic Forum, COVID-19 is still driving industry transformation, as the adoption of digital platforms has skyrocketed during the last several years. This has led businesses, especially education-based ones, to focus on tech-based apps that are user-friendly.
Positions that can be easily replaced by AI include Data Entry Clerks; Executive and Administrative Secretaries; and Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Payroll Clerks.
Many argue that AI cannot easily replicate the tedious decision making that humans intrinsically have. If given an option, over 90% of humans surveyed say that they would rather have humans be responsible for writing and authoring books. Many opinions about AI-created literature conveyed a sense of aloofness in the prose, a cold undertone that only a human writer could rectify.

Regarding accounting and data entry: when I worked in the software world of Property Asset Investment management, the future goal of Anant Yardi is for PM companies to never look at an invoice again. All through software automation and integration between companies. I’m not surprised that SPED teachers are in the growth list ;) Great Article!
